So Its bonfire night. I’m getting dressed in my room. I have three roommates. Two are older students and one is a fresher like me. Her name is Taiwo. Taiwo is so nice. I’m so happy we are in the same room. She is funny and sweet and I think we would be great friends. Our other roommates Bisola and Deba helped us dress. They did our makeup and helped paint our nails and arrange our hair. That was so much fun. I felt like a celebrity.
I’m wearing the dress I told you about before. It’s black and short with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. I have a silver long costume chain on it and a high heel silver sandal. Everyone loves the dress because they think its hot, well I like the dress because it has pockets (I wouldn’t have to carry a purse.). We called a cab to take us to the venue, because the heels are too high. Bisola thinks we should wear flat shoes. I think I will change my shoe to the flat silver sandals (it’s a bonfire after all.).
We are at the party now. It’s held in an open field in school. There are logs at the middle of the park. I think they want to burn it. Then there is pop corn stand and a bar at the side that sells alcohol. When they lit the fire, it provided the only light in the dark environment. The music is playing, everyone is dancing or talking and we are having a great time.
My classmates join Taiwo and I. We talk about school, music and fashion for hours. So many people are drunk Di, and they are doing so many embarrassing things, it’s so much fun to watch. Some people are just spinning around the dance floor uncontrollably (under the influence of alcohol). I went home early because I have a test tomorrow. Hope I can read a little. I have some new friends in my class. I will tell you about them after school tomorrow.
