A Foreign Based Benin Business Woman, Mrs Florence Erhabor, has petitioned the Ekiadolor Area Command of the Edo State Police Command in Nigeria. In a Petition written on her behalf by Douglas Ogbankwa Esq of Douglas Ogbankwa and Co on the 22nd of October, 2019, Mrs Florence Erhabor, alleged that the Police men of the Ekiadolor Area Command, instigated by one Inspector Story Omoregie of the Command have been raiding her house and extorting money from her tenants while also badgering them with illegally arrests without any complaint being made against them.
The Petitioner claimed that the men of this unit had turned her tenants into their cash cows who they regularly extort thousands of Naira from. Being aware of the policies of the Edo State Police Command under the Watch of the Commissioner of Police which frowns at such impunities she decided to seek his help.
The Petitioner in the Complaint, which was copied to the Inspector General of Police and Amnesty International among others also stated that Men of the Area Command has raided the house about 10 times in the last few months calling on the Edo State Commissioner of Police to bring the culprits to book to stem the impunity.
