I am so excited, I’m moving into my own accommodation tomorrow. Time to say goodbye to parental control. No more fake visits to my friends just so that we can attend a party. I can taste freedom and it is delicious. I have to wear the coat of the obedient child for one more night though, my mum wants to have one of these mother to daughter talks. The horror! Why do parents think that we don’t know anything? Do we look stupid to them? I think the secondary schools are slightly different now than they were when my parents were in school. We are more exposed to information. I guess she just has to be a mum and tell me these things. For her conscience sake, who am I to begrudge her this scene.
I got a text from Jason, do you remember him Di, He is the guy that I met during our graduation party. Gosh!! I still wish I could have spent more time at the party, but I had to go home (before my parents find out I was ever there). That party was so much fun. It was held at a club venue that we were able to rent for an evening party. Inside the hall was so beautiful, I felt like I was spending time with myself. I danced so much. I guess the university will be just like that. Unending nights of fun and parties, I can’t wait.
Anyway, Jason wants us to spend some time together when I move in to school tomorrow, I know he is cute and a good dancer but I am just not interested. I want something more, the freedom to experience school without the limitations having him around would bring. Who wants to drop one set of shackles and immediately pick up another.
I heard there will be a fresher’s night party in two days, my first party where I don’t have to ask for permission to attend, sweet! I bought a dress for the party, one that my mum would never approve of. It’s a black short dress. Had to hide it in the bag we have already packed for school yesterday. I hope she does not want to open that bag because I will be in so much trouble. Maybe I would be grounded (They can’t do that when I don’t live in school right, I hope so.).
I can’t wait to tell you about moving in and the party Di.
